Neck & Décolletage: The Skincare Step Routines Skip

Most routines stop at the jawline. The neck and décolletage take the same UV exposure as the face, often more, since they're rarely covered by a hat brim, sunglasses, or a hand reaching for SPF, yet they're treated as an afterthought, if they're treated at all.

The skin here is thinner, with fewer oil glands and less collagen support, which is why crepiness, fine lines and sun damage tend to show up here earlier, and more visibly, than they do on the face. The fix isn't complicated. It just means actually extending your routine downward.

Why this skin ages differently

The neck and décolletage have less collagen and elastin than facial skin, fewer oil glands to keep it supple, and a fair amount of constant movement, turning your head, looking down at a phone, that facial skin doesn't deal with in the same way. Add sun exposure that's rarely protected (SPF routines tend to stop at the chin), and it's easy to see why this area often looks older than the face above it.

Treat it as its own step, not an afterthought

NeckPerfect Complex is formulated specifically for the thinner skin structure of the neck and décolletage, rather than being a facial serum applied further down. Used morning and night after cleansing, it targets firmness and texture in an area that most anti-ageing routines simply skip past on their way to the face.

Build it into five minutes, not a new routine

You don't need a separate neck routine. After applying your usual serum and moisturiser to the face, sweep the same products down over the neck and décolletage, then follow with NeckPerfect Complex. In the morning, finish with Extreme Protect SPF 40 over the whole area — sun protection matters more here than almost anywhere else, precisely because it's so often missed.

The takeaway

Extending your existing routine down the neck costs about five extra minutes and heads off a good deal of visible ageing in an area your foundation won't reach. As with most skincare, consistency matters more than complexity.
