THE HERO SERUM

Why Active Serum earns its name

Most serums pick one target. Active Serum works across three: the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and blemish-prone skin. Its activity comes from botanical acids rather than harsh synthetics, so skin is left moist and smooth, never raw. It suits all skin types and all ages, and it earns its keep quickly, with visible change usually arriving within a couple of days.

HOW IT WORKS

Three botanical acids, one clear direction

Bilberry brings lactic acid, sugarcane brings glycolic acid and white willow bark brings salicylic acid: a complete AHA and BHA complex sourced from plants. Together they gently resurface, clear congested pores and smooth texture, while mushroom-derived kojic acid brightens the look of uneven tone and vitamin A adds antioxidant support. Expect a cool tingle on application; that is the formula getting to work.

Active Serum, answered

What is Active Serum used for?

Active Serum is iS Clinical’s hero treatment serum. It decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, visibly evens skin tone and is excellent for blemish-prone skin, so one formula covers the jobs several single-purpose serums normally share.

Why does Active Serum tingle when I apply it?

A brief cooling, tingling sensation on application is expected. It is the sign of the formula’s potent botanical activity and settles as the serum absorbs.

How quickly does Active Serum work?

It is a fast-acting formula, and most people notice a visible change within a couple of days. It is also designed for the long term, so results build with continued morning and evening use.

Which acids does Active Serum contain?

Lactic acid from bilberry, glycolic acid from sugarcane and salicylic acid from white willow bark, supported by kojic acid from mushroom extract to brighten the look of uneven tone. Every acid in the formula has a botanical source.

Is Active Serum good for blemish-prone skin?

Yes. The formula is excellent for blemish-prone skin: salicylic acid clears congestion inside the pore while the AHAs smooth the surface and kojic acid works on the marks blemishes leave behind.

Can sensitive skin use Active Serum?

It is formulated for all skin types and all ages, and leaves skin moist and smooth rather than stripped. If your skin is reactive, patch test first and start with once-daily use, building up as your skin settles.

Can I use Active Serum alongside retinol or vitamin C?

Yes, with a sensible routine. Apply Active Serum to clean skin, then layer other products after it. If you are new to acids or retinoids, introduce one active at a time and alternate mornings and evenings while your skin adjusts.

Should I buy the 15ml or the 30ml?

The 15ml is the right way to try Active Serum for the first time or to travel with it. The 30ml costs less per millilitre and is the better buy once you know your skin loves it.
