PURE CHEMISTRY

What should a face wash for rosacea-prone skin do?

For rosacea-prone skin, a face wash needs to clean gently, keep a skin-friendly pH and skip the irritants. Cleansing Complex is a soft gel wash that removes make-up and grime, soothes with chamomile, green tea and Centella Asiatica, and avoids the sulfates and added fragrance that can set skin off. It washes thoroughly while leaving the barrier intact. As rosacea is a medical condition, pair gentle products with professional advice.

Face Wash for Rosacea FAQs

Is this a suitable face wash for rosacea-prone skin?

Yes. It is a gentle, pH-balanced gel wash, free from artificial fragrance and harsh sulfates, with soothing botanicals that help calm the appearance of redness. It is designed to cleanse without aggravating reactive skin.

Does this face wash foam a lot?

No. It is a soft, low-foam gel rather than a high-suds wash. That is deliberate, as heavy foaming washes can leave rosacea-prone skin tight and flushed.

Will it help with redness?

The calming botanicals can help reduce the look of redness over time, and a non-stripping wash means skin is less likely to feel hot and tight afterwards. It is a cosmetic face wash, not a rosacea treatment.

Is it fragrance-free?

It is formulated without artificial fragrance, a common trigger for reactive skin. Any subtle scent is from the botanicals.

How often can I use it?

Morning and night. It is gentle enough for twice-daily washing on sensitive, rosacea-prone skin.

What water temperature should I use?

Lukewarm. Hot water tends to make flushing look worse, so keep it cool to tepid.

Do I need a toner after washing?

No. It is already pH-balanced, so it tones as it cleanses and you can go straight to your serum.

Should I check with a professional?

Yes. Rosacea is a medical condition. Use a gentle face wash like this alongside guidance from your GP or dermatologist.
